Flippen Trainings

The Flippen Group provides culture and leadership training to schools, corporations, and sports teams. Their signature courses include Capturing Kids Hearts, Process Champions, Leadership Blueprint, and Winning Culture. GOAL Academy has contracted with the Flippen Group for over a decade.

GOAL currently requires all Teachers, Academic Coaches, and Leaders to attend a series of Flippen trainings in their first two years of employment. These staff members will be able to enroll in training through Vector.

Frequently-Asked Questions

Am I required to attend?

Yes. Staff are required to attend assigned Flippen trainings per the employee handbook. These are considered compliance trainings and are not eligible for Professional Learning hours.

How do I know which courses I am required to attend? How do I know which courses I have already attended?

Attendance records are in Vector:

The Plans page will show which courses you have been assigned and which you have already attended.
The PD tracking page will show which courses you have already attended. Use the “All Years” option on the date filter or the Search bar to locate Flippen trainings easily.

Note that feedback must be submitted for attendance to be posted to your account. If a previously attended event is showing as "pending", submit the feedback form.

How can I request an accommodation from HR?

Send an email with the request to humanresources@goalac.org, your supervisor, and Lynée Zajac-Beck.

What should I wear?

Since training is off-site, attendees can wear casual attire.

What should I bring?

CKH1 and Process Champions - Please bring a pen or pencil, all other materials will be provided.
CKH2 – Please bring a pen or pencil, and a device to access your Flippen profile assessment results.
Leadership Blueprint - Please bring a pen or pencil, and a device to access your Flippen profile assessment results.

Are meals provided?

Breakfast and lunch are provided.

Will I get overnight accommodations?

Attendees who meet the minimum distance requirement from their home to the training center per GOAL’s Travel Policy will receive overnight accommodations.

Will I receive per diem?

Attendees who have overnight accommodations per GOAL’s Travel Policy will receive per diem.

Do I need to submit a Conference Request Form in Vector?

No. Since this is a required training, funding is already in place and you do not need to submit a Conference Request Form.

Do I need to submit a Travel Request Form?

Yes.

Do I need to submit a Travel Request Form even if I don't need overnight accommodations?

Yes. The Travel Request Form is required of any staff member who is working away from their normal work location per the GOAL Travel Policy.
